Are you a Person Centred Counsellor or training to become one?
Interested in the wider application of the Person Centred Approach?

Are you interested in joining a Person Centred group to share experiences and ideas, development and training?  You do not need to be an individual member of BAPCA to join our meetings.

Hillingdon BAPCA is a group for counsellors, including trainees, and anyone with an interest in the Person Centred Approach. We meet one Saturday most months in Uxbridge, Middlesex. The group plans and facilitates its own direction to meet the needs of group members. Anyone with an interest in the Person Centred Approach or Client Centred Therapy is welcome wherever they live or work. Therefore you do not actually have to live in the London Borough of Hillingdon to be part of the group.

You are warmly invited to become part of Hillingdon BAPCA. There is no need to be an existing member of BAPCA to join us. We have been in existence since June 2002 and have been holding regular monthly meetings since January 2003. Meetings last from 9.30am to 1.30pm and count towards 3 ½ hours CPD. The cost is £5 to cover hire of the hall and for tea, coffee and biscuits.

Interested, but no experience in Person Centred group work?

Please be aware that you may find it difficult or challenging at first. Issues are raised and experience shared in what we hope will be an atmosphere of openness and mutual trust, but sometimes conflict occurs and feelings are hurt. Group members in training or in practice usually have the support of a personal counsellor and/or supervisor. You could come away from a meeting feeling distressed or confused. We suggest that you consider where you would take those feelings. We would urge you to consider this carefully before attending. If you were to find yourself distressed, confused, angry or hurt, you may wish to consult a counsellor. If this were to be the case, you can search on the BACP website for one local to you on
